In a Mood for Experiment
I am in a mood for experiment... To cook Thai Food... :p
So, today, i tried my first attempt on Thai pineapple rice and Tom yam soup. Nothing amazing... Just bought packet flavoring, mix all the necessary ingredients, cook them and they r ready to be eaten.
Verdict:
Thai pineapple rice - so so only, base was burnt coz of the rice cooker... haha... A lousy cook blaming her utensil :D (But this rice cooker really cannot make it. Even normal day white rice will oso get burnt...) So, it's really the rice cooker's fault. :p
Tom yam soup - Spicy. I quite like the after-taste. It leaves ur throat burning. Shiok! But coz i dun dare to eat too spicy, only managed to drink a bit at a time... So, lots of soup left-over... :(

Did your soup have prawns? To solve the problem of char in your pineapple rice, cook your white rice in the cooker. Take out the upper layer to stir and flavour in the wok with your pineapple and ingredients. If u dump all of the pineapple rice ingredient in your rice cooker, possibility of getting chars will be greater even if your rice cooker is in better shape. This is because of the higher sugar content from your pineapple... just a guess hehee... Great try! Keep it up!
