Bro flew to London with swollen mouth
Brother went for another round of surgery on Thursday (after some stupid hiccups by the doctors) to once again remove an overgrowth in his mouth... The thought of this made me super angry.
The doctors seemed so confident the last time round, saying that the overgrowth was small and not of a challenge to them. And they din't do a good job out of it! And his 2nd round of surgery was scheduled on the day before he is to fly back to London for his new semester.
I feel very bad for not being able to accompany him much on the day of his surgery. So much happened at work and I gotta worked OT to clear up the stuff... I was supposed to return home to join my family for dinner together but end up, they gotta go ahead w/o me. I really feel very sore over this.
I applied for pm leave on Friday, with the intention to accompany my brother before he flies. But, seemed like it was too late. There were some last minute packing of luggage, fear of luggage overload and his swollen mouth condition.
After dinner, we took a cab down to the airport. 3rd & 4th aunts & cousins reh, mih also came to send brother off too. All of us were worried of his mouth's condition and hope he would be fine in London.
Time flies... Somehow, I feel that I din't get to spend much quality time with brother when he returned this time. I haven't been there when he was troubled. I have been such a terrible sister. And for the next 10 months, I'll miss having someone there to listen to my grievances and giving me some sound advice. Really hope bro will cope well for his 3rd year of academic and look forward to his return in 10 months' time!
Unsmooth Journey...
Although this week hasn't come to an end, I can already conclude that it has not been a smooth-sailing one at work...
I dunno if it has got anything to do with my office fengshui... But...
- Suppose to organise a meeting but forget to inform the most key person and meeting has to be postponed as a result. Meeting involved big shot. (What has gotten into me... I was never like dat before)
- Had 2 tricky situations where boss has to be involved which made me look and feel so incompetent. (But I don't feel comfortable chairing while boss said I needed more exposure)
- Certain actions taken were not inline with my believes. (Suddenly realised how white can turn into black, depending on how u position it)
- Not getting into good book of the big shots... (People might not be easily forgiving?)
Anyway, today, I feel that my future at work looks challenging... And for this, I nearly shed tears in office but swallowed them back into my tummy... Maybe that's why I don't feel that hungry today.

No wonder you feel so down yesterday. Well, to err is human. We just try not to make another in future lor. I guess to chair meeting takes time for one to have the courage to do so. I think it shows that your boss do think highly of you, else she would of not have suggested it. Tears are not delicious as a form of drink heh. Don't drink too much=P Cheer up and be the happy gal that I know, k?

Driving Lesson 19/ Private Lesson 17
Had my weekend lesson again today at 11a.m. Weather was super hot...
Drove around main road for about 1/2 hr before going into Lentor Drive to practice on directional change, parallel & vertical parking. Was quite happy that I managed to practice so much for today's lesson.
Had some difficulties trying to recall the methods for parallel parking and knocked down 2 back poles... Instructor signalled me "thumb-up"... haha...
Recalled wrongly for vertical parking. Should have steered fully to the left but I only steered once and end up knocking pole again...
When returning back, my engine finally stalled when turning out from junction... Stalled on the spot thrice.... Malu... :p
To summarise, I had a pole-knocking, engine stalled lesson today!
Boring Life
I just realised I have a "pool" (wondering how big it is) of "fan/s" who tune in to my blog for my regular updates...
Would like to apologize for the following:

Dun worry, I am getting on by and by. If you are feeling guilty, well, you could post more entries, meet me up in person, talk to me more?
By keeping yourself happy, you are already helping me. Cos when you are happy, you are able to bring laughter to me =>

Driving Lesson 18/ Private Lesson 16
I have rested for the past 2 weeks on my driving practices.
Due to my unpredictable work schedules, I can no longer book my lesson on weekdays... Dunno when some silly candidates will request for after-work interviews again.
I had my first weekend lesson after breaking for 2 weeks. It was [like wat my instructor said] TERRIBLE + HORRIBLE. I had so many engine stalls today... Countless. And when turning out from a junction, I was suppose to give way to the main road... But seeing that the vehicle was still some distance away, i quickly turned out without stopping... In the end, my instructor gotta signal sorry to the car behind... :p Went to Lentor to practice some vertical parking but end up knocking down the pole... Today was really off-form. For the first time, I dislike driving...
My original test date was suppose to be next Saturday... But knowing that I am not ready, I have requested for postponement... So, I still have the next 2 months to continue practising...
Quick Summary of Past 2 weeks...
Apologies if you have been tuning in faithfully but disappointed by the "no-show". Have been pretty busy trying to settle in at work... =)
Here's a quick summary:
Work -
Fire Drill... Hot Hot Hot!
Finally, it's Friday... Think after a break for about half a year from office hour job, I needed some adapting... By today, I was already 3/4 dead... Considering every night, I came home and dozed off heavily till the next morning...
Today, the office was rather quiet and super cold... The bosses were out for a full-day off-site meeting and some of my colleagues were on leave. Think the coldness must have make my tummy worked extra hard... I got hungry real fast and was munching crackers like a pig. :p
In the afternoon, there was a fire drill. When the bell went off, we were still chatting and wondering which stairs to take. :p It was a leisure stroll to the next company's car park. If there was a real fire, I think we would have all turned into roast pigs... :p Well, I almost turned into 1 roast suckling pig. While gathering at the assembly area, the sun was shining brightly... And I was wearing long-sleeves blouse because of the coldness in office... I was dripping sweat and hoping to get back to office fast... HOT!
After the fire drill, it was almost knock-off time...
On my way home from work, I bought Piano Spa 2... Listening to Disc 1 and testing it out now. =)
Yeah! Weekend is here!!! So happy! (",)V
90 cents worth of embarassment...
It started to pour early in the morning... Even before I can get out of house to work... With such heavy rain, I brought along a big umbrella that can withstand the srong wind...
Office was super cold... I brought along my "winter power jacket"... *hee*
At work, I started to screen through resumes and do some shortlistings... Colleague continued to briefed me on my section's structure and I have my first assignment to sit in for interviews, starting at 5.30pm. Fearing that I might faint from hunger, I bought a little kaya cake to munch before the interviews start. Luckily for me, the interviews ended at 8pm. The rain has stopped too.
Wearily, I packed up, take my big umbrella and walked my way to the bus stop. Was practically stoning at the bus stop. Finally the bus came. As I opened my bag, I realised I left my ez-link card in the paperbag that contains my "winter power jacket".
Not wanting to U-turn back since the bus is already here, I boarded and asked the bus driver on the bus fare. He said "90 cents." I took out my wallet... Opened the coin compartment... And started digging... all the 5 cents, 10 cents and slowly add up to a painful 90 cents. The worse thing is, the driver did not drive on. He waited for me to dig my 90 cents, with the bus commuters watching on. I feel like an old auntie, with an umbrella hanging on my elbow, digging for coins. After paying the 90 cents, I quickly grab a seat infront and sat w/o looking back. That's embarassing...
When I got back, I chatted with Deed over IM. She laughed her head off and blogged about my "adventure". haha... To think she actually blogged about it before me... I was too tired to blog... I fell deep asleep the minute my head hit the pillow...
