Driving Lesson 2: Stay Focused

Today's Driving Practical Lesson, I had a different instructor, who kept saying "Stay Focused." ;p

Learnt how to negotiate left and right turn (still not sure when and how much to steer) and switching to gear 2 (Accelerate, simultaneously release accerator, fully depressed clutch & change gear then slowly release clutch.)

Also learnt abit on how to stop on target (but failed coz I always brake last min and cause the car to jerk! Stupid me!)

Bad habit:
- Have a tendency to rest my head on the head rest. (This is a reminder to myself and hopefully the tester doesn't see this post.)
- Have a tendency to sway left while on the left lane. (Very near the kerb. No good!)
- Don't dare to step on the brake (coz scare of stalling the engine. Dumb!)

Weakness: Can't multi-task -->
- When stopping the car/ changing gear, eyes tend to look below to find the brake/ clutch and then steering out of lane... (dangerous driving)

*Althou the sky was dark, it din't rain... Phew!*

Driving Lesson 1: Biting Point

Finally started my Driving Practical Lesson 1 today... It was pouring like mad... How exciting to learn driving in the rain ya?

Learnt abt the various parts of the car and felt the "biting point"...
(Biting Point: Full Clutch, slightly depressed accelerator, Gear 1 & slowly releasing the cluth until can feel the car engine vibrates)

Drove around the circuit, with the instructor telling me when to turn the steering wheel.
