Driving Lesson 24/ Private Lesson 22
Today's lesson was during office lunch hour.
Waited for instructor at the bus stop outside the driving centre, near my office.
Today, drove on main road. Same problem still - Slow reaction.
Wonder how then will I improve...
Next lesson is scheduled during office lunch time again... Next Tuesday. Going into Circuit!
Princess Hours ~GonG~
A new found addiction/ motivation for the past week - Korean Drama "Princess Hours"
Borrowed the DVD from my colleague last Monday and started chasing it every night after work and on weekend.
A Cinderalla fairy-tale like story again, with casts in nice and stylish costumes.
Was debating with my cousins which prince is a better looking one... What do you think? [Lets see if our taste are similar] ;)

Mirror Mirror On The Wall
For the past few weeks, I have been in search for a mirror... A mirror that is not too obvious, a mirror that's of the right size, a mirror that's nice... A mirror that I can hang in my office cubicle to look behind my back.
Yes. My office cubicle is positioned such that my back is facing the corridor and I can't see who is walking by... So, I needed a mirror to act as a rear mirror.
Last Saturday, I bought a small round mirror and tried to hang it up in the office on Monday. But it was so small that I can't see anything...
This afternoon, I went to Takashimaya to continue my search for mirror again... I saw this palm-sized mirror that looks quite ladyish with lace... But it seemed like that was the ONLY choice in the mall. And it was super cheap ($3.90). So I bought it... Tommorrow, I shld go back to my office and try it up.
Hopefully, my search for mirror will end with this... Initially, I thought buying mirror is such an easy task... But end up, trying lots of places without gain.

Driving Lesson 23/ Private Lesson 21
Today's lesson was like a mini-test.
Had a new instructor and tried out his new car. Gear was abit hard to change. Instructor looked quite strict too. Drove on main road, did vertical and parallel parking...
At the end of the lesson, he summarized -
Cannot do good U-turn
Cannot control car well when turning
Cannot multi-task when driving
Slow reaction
Parallel parking needs more practice
Like dat, my driving test looks abit gloomy & hopeless...
Driving Lesson 22/ Private Lesson 20
Usual driving lesson again today. Drove around main road...
Engine stalled a few times when driving off after red light... So embarassed that cars behind me have to either wait or overtake me... Kena honked too. Instructor scolded.
Then tried to do a U-turn on an upward slope. Car rolled back slightly... Haiz... If that's my test route, I think sure fail!
Went into Lentor, wanted to practice on parking but was quite crowded. So, continue back to drive on main road.
Today is my last lesson with this instructor. Next Tuesday will be changing to the instructor whose car will be used during my TP test. Stress...
Where Courtesy seemed Weird
I think we, the people in the country, have been too conversative that we didn't know how to react to unexpected courtesy greetings...
During my usual bus ride this morning, I noticed a different bus uncle. Never seen him before. From the minute I boarded the bus, I notice he has been greeting "Good Morning" to those who boarded the bus... I din't notice it at first as I was busy tapping my "pay-fare" card on the reader.
I sat down and started observing... For the next few bus stops, he maintained that energy and greeted all boarders... Some of them looked at him weirdly as if he is mad, some of them ignored him or probably didn't notice it like me... But only a few greeted him back... None with the kind of energy he shown. Well, to be frank, I can't find that kind of energy early in the morning, esp on my way to another day of hard work... :p
It was an interesting bus ride and I wonder if the bus uncle did that throughout the whole journey... =)

Formal Attire
It has been enforced?
From what I heard from 2 of my fellow colleagues...
Last Friday, boss mentioned during fortnightly meeting (which I missed coz I was attending the company's freshmen orientation) that we should wear formal suit when meeting up with external parties as we represent company's image.
So, I started digging out my past business suits again. Looks like I can't give silly excuses that the suits look too big on me... (It's indeed big and boy can be my witness right? *haha*) Gotta either wear them or invest $ to buy new ones... ~Broke~ >_<
Meeting external parties tomorrow... On a beautiful Friday, which is also the dressed down day for the company, where people will come in jeans and tee. Will I look like an idiot in business suit? Oh my goodness...
Paper Animation Series... Amazing!
Had lunch with KK aka JJ yesterday after my driving lesson.
After lunch, we shopped around and chanced upon this novelty shop at Heeren 5th Storey. This shop sells quite some interesting and innovative stuff.
I was particularly attracted to the paper animation series... Before returning home, I finally bought the "Grumpy Goat" set where the Grumpy Goat will shake its head in disagreement... KK aka JJ bought the "Flying Pig" set. It was amazing how paper and glue can bring about actions.
This afternoon while surfing the website on the paper animation series. I found more interesting stuff. Downloaded one of their free trial - "Nodding Goat" set where the Yes Indeed Goat will nod its head in agreement...
Now, I have a pair of contradicting goats... (My master pieces)
Here's the website on more of the paper animation series: http://www.flying-pig.co.uk/index.php
Driving Lesson 21/ Private Lesson 19
Went for my driving lesson this morning at 11am. Had to wait for instructor to finish chatting and smoking. Haiz...
Then, I drove on main road and chaffeured him to buy lunch again at the driving centre. Waited for him to go tapau...
After that, we went to Lentor Drive so that he can deliver lunch to his other instructor kaki... He went out of the car for lunch & smoke with that kaki of his while I practised my parallel parking.
Made quite a lot of mistakes today - Forget to release handbrake when doing my parallel parking, knocking down poles, slanted vehicle, engine stalling... And worse of all, I realised that I have been following the wrong marking for my parallel parking and my dear instructor only told me that when it was my last try on it? And got a scolding from him...
Waste my time.
Unusually Scary Bus Ride ^_^|||
It was a usual morning. I got up as usual, prepared and went to the usual bus stop at the usual time and waited for the usual bus. (My life is just so routined...)
The usual bus came... As it was the 2nd bus stop from the interchange, it was pretty empty. Lots of seats to choose... And so, I chose this "feng shui" seat.
Suddenly, this guy boarded the bus, walked towards and sat right beside me. I looked around and wondered "So many empty seats... Why must sit beside me? And I dunno you lor..."
I began to feel uneasy, wondering what is this guy up to. Rob? Molest? My heartbeat began to race... I kept glancing sideway to make sure he is not up to anything funny. He kept rubbing his eyes, crossing his arms and was quite layback... But I felt it would be so weird if I just suddenly stand up and change seat... So, I sat through, praying and hoping that the bus will travel faster so that I can reach my destination fast.
I finally reached my destination... Safe and Sound. Phew! Thank buddha, thank gods, thank fairies, thank guardian angels, thank to all around who has shown concerns and called despite your busy schedules... =)
** The Prince Who Turns into a Frog **
For the past 2 weeks, I have been addicted to this Taiwan Drama Serials (The Prince who Turns into a Frog). Title itself sounds like a fairy tale ya?
When I started on the first few discs, I thot nothing much...
But as I watched on, I fell in love with the "Frog Prince". haha... So charming! And so, my motivation for the past 2-weeks after work was to rush home to continue with the story.
Finally finished with the show yesterday...
And now, I gotta start looking for new motivation again...
Isn't he charming???
Thanks ML, for lending me the discs! *Muacks!*

hahaha... yes yes yes!!! good show right!!! i finished it in 1 week loh!! was sooo addicted. =P
he and most of the other actors in the show are in another show 'ai qing mo fa shi' oso. it's supposed to be similar to 'wang zi bian qing wa' but somehow this 2nd show is juz not as interesting. the storyline is draggy and the female lead is so annoying. haha.. but everyone is so cool when they are cutting hair. can try watching if u like to watch the same cast again.

Searching for Glass Slippers?
I bought 2 pairs of smallest sized shoes last Saturday as my current one is in pretty bad condition. Shoes searching task would have been easier if office allows open-toes shoes... But... Gotta set good example to support corporate policy by wearing closed-toes shoes from Monday to Thursday.
As I have very skinny/boney feet, it's very difficult to find matching closed-toes shoes... And for this week, my poor feet suffered from blisters and broken toe-nails... Ouch! Had to paste plasters all over... The 2 pairs of shoes, although of the smallest size, are still too loose for my feet... I can't chase after bus or walk fast. So silly n embarassing as the crowd watched on... Feel like a little kid wearing adult shoes... (^_^)
Gotta visit the clobber over the weekend to do something to those shoes and to stock up my plasters supply...

Driving Lesson 20/ Private Lesson 18
Was a little late for this morning's lesson. Such a nice weather to laze in bed... :p
Today's lesson was driving on main road. Instructor complained that my driving speed is too slow and that I don't dare to step hard on the accelerator. I asked when to switch gear and got a lecture from him again - "Gotta listen to the engine sound!"
Circled around on AMK streets.
Lesson got exciting when he said he wanna go somewhere far to pack lunch. I explored new road today on our way to Upper Thomson Road to buy some super nice duck rice. It was a long stretch of empty road where I learned to step hard on accelerator and listened to engine sound and switched gear from 2 to 3 to 4... Wow! I was finally travelling at 60km/h. haha...
By the time we returned from Upper Thomson Road, it was about time to end lesson.
