Caught in the Rain

This afternoon, my colleague and I decided to take a stroll to the coffeeshop a stone throw away from our office. Was targeting the fried wanton mee there and seemed like we were quite lucky today. No long queue at the stall.

While ordering our lunch, it started to rain. And the "luckier" thing is - we didn't bring along any umbrella. Ho Ho

After we packed our lunch, the rain turned smaller... We braved ourselves back to office. But before we could reach our office, down came a sudden downpour! We were only halfway through (although it was just a stone throw away)

Luckily there was a security guard house at another company where we took our shelter. We looked temptingly at the security uncle's umbrella. haha... My colleague asked if we could borrow for a while and return him once we reached our office. Security guard turned us down. :(

So, we stood there, waiting for the rain to turn smaller. With our wanton mee turning cold in our hands... :(

Then dunno what made the security uncle changed his mind... Probably he can't stand the sight of us, sulking infront of him. haha... He decided to lend us his previous umbrella... And merrily, we thanked him and hopped on back to office. Returned the umbrella to the security uncle once we borrowed an umbrella from our office's receptionist.

This incident was labelled as joke of the day by another colleague as she laughed when she hear us standing at the security guard house to wait for rain to stop... :p

What a rain!
